Wilkes University Archives seeks a FEDERAL work-study eligible student to process the Eugene Shedden Farley papers, a collection of papers, photographs, programs, newspaper clippings, memorandums, reports, and more from the first Wilkes president. The collection ranges from 1947-1972, and the student would be trained by the archivist to process, arrange, and research the materials in order to create a finding aid for future researchers. A blog post would also be required after the collection is processed to highlight items within the collection and the history of Wilkes during this time period. This is an in-person position within the library and archives, ideal for History/Public History majors, or any student who is interested in early Wilkes institutional history. The archivist is only accepting Federal/Financial aid eligible students for this position, so if you are unsure if you have federal aid for the upcoming year, please reach out to Financial Aid to confirm this before emailing about the position.
Pay scale is based on Wilkes’ pay rate for students: Freshmen: $9.50 per hour, Sophomores: $10.00 per hour, Juniors: $10.50 per hour, Seniors: $12.00 per hour Graduate students: $14.00 per hour.
