Join us for some food and a talk with MX.Jake Kelley. This Safe Zone training provides faculty and staff with the knowledge and tools to create a welcoming and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ community members. It explores LGBTQ+ identities, challenges, and practical allyship strategies. Participants leave with skills to foster inclusion, respect, and a culture of belonging on campus, enjoying a pizza and salad lunch if you are interested  RSVP  for the session.

    In today’s complex socio-political climate, conversations around Community & Belonging in higher education have become increasingly nuanced, contested, and vital. Faculty, Staff, and students alike are navigating unprecedented challenges from legislative actions and public discourse impacting Community & Belonging initiatives, to increased demands for belonging, safety, and academic freedom. This interactive two-hour session is designed for educational leaders, faculty, staff, and student affairs professionals seeking to meaningfully support their campus communities amid these shifting dynamics.

    Through facilitated discussion, scenario-based exercises, and shared resource strategies, participants will explore how to sustain inclusive practices, advocate for equitable learning environments, and foster resilience for both faculty and students in an often polarized socio-political environment.
