The Wilkes Women’s and Gender Studies Department is accepting submissions for the Spring 2026 Women’s and Gender Studies Conference, which will be held on March 30-31 at Wilkes. Proposals are due by February 23rd, 2026 and may be submitted online here or at https://www.wilkes.edu/signature-events/wgs-conference/index.aspx
We invite students, faculty, staff, and community members to submit gender studies or social justice–related research projects, performance art pieces, or presentations that raise awareness about WGS-related issues. Session types include research talks, panel discussions, video screenings, and performance art (e.g., poetry slams). We also welcome presentations highlighting service-learning, community service, or study abroad experiences. This year’s theme is “Gender and Citizenship: Past, Present, and Future.”
