Hello! Wilkes University’s on-campus Newspaper and Radio station are looking for sports reporters and broadcasters of all age and ability!
We are looking for writers to cover Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Swimming, Women’s Ice Hockey, Women’s Lacrosse. Students who are interested in joining the Beacon to write in our sports section can contact the Managing Editor Andrew Marshallsay at andrew.marshallsay@wilkes.edu or our Asst. We are also looking for prospective broadcasters and on air talent to appear on Wilkes-Barre’s number one sports talk show, Stat Swarm. We will also be broadcasting Hockey, Basketball and Baseball games beginning in Spring 2026.
