You are invited to an EPCAMR presentation about post-mining land rehabilitation on Thursday, March 26, from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm in BREIS 107.  See attached poster for details.

EPCAMR is a small but impactful nonprofit based near Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The organization got its start in the mid-1990s and continues to successfully lead projects throughout the region to improve landscapes and lives. Their mission is to encourage the reclamation and redevelopment of land affected by past coal mining practices. EPCAMR monitors and analyzes watershed behaviors, tries and experiments on the best way to improve mine land like with phytoremediation. They hire people with skills in water quality monitoring, watershed assessment, GIS data and 3D mine pool mapping, and drone services.

Snacks and drinks will be provided.
