Dear students,
I will be leaving the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy at the end of May 2026 as I transition into a new professional opportunity.
Teaching, mentoring, advising, and working alongside all of you has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching so many of you grow into capable and confident future pharmacists. Being part of that journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I am truly grateful for the relationships, conversations, and memories we’ve shared. Working in academia was a dream come true for me, but it’s time to pursue new goals and aspirations.
If there’s one piece of advice I hope you carry forward, it’s to take ownership of your learning and growth. The learners who continue to improve are not always the ones who know everything immediately, but the ones who stay curious, ask questions, accept feedback, and continue putting in the work even when things feel difficult. I know this because I was one of those students myself, and honestly, I still approach life and my career the same way today.
I also hope you continue to advocate for what is right, whether that is for your patients, your profession, or yourselves. Work hard, stay balanced, and be kind.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your pharmacy school journey. I am incredibly proud of all of you, and I’m excited to see where your careers take you!
With gratitude,
Dr. Nguyen
