Teaching with Technology 2026 Week Three – It’s Not Too Late

We have had a great couple weeks so far! Good discussion and some practical tips and ideas are being shared in each session. This week’s offerings continue our focus on the transition to MS Teams and the impact of AI on our teaching practices. Also, feel free to drop in during our open office hours with any questions either from the sessions or something else you need help with.

Session 1: Teams Meeting Toolkit for Faculty – 9AM

Facilitator: Karen Rodgers
Explore the key tools in Microsoft Teams Meetings that can help faculty run smoother, more interactive online classes and meetings. This workshop covers practical features for managing participants, sharing content, using chat, and engaging meeting participants.

Session 2: AI Workarounds: Strategies to Reduce AI Misuse – 10AM

Facilitator: Kristine Pruett
As AI tools become more ubiquitous, assessment design plays a critical role in promoting authentic student work. This session will share two practical strategies, including video assignments and a structured post-assessment review process, to help reduce inappropriate AI use while supporting meaningful learning. Participants will leave with practical ideas they can implement easily in their courses.
