GA Position Open in Marketing Communications

Marketing Communications seeks a graduate assistant for the fall 2026 and spring 2027 semesters who will collaborate on marketing, writing and editing projects that support multiple stakeholders and audiences, including prospective students and families, alumni, current students, community members, faculty and staff. This role incorporates a variety of responsibilities that will prepare the successful candidate to succeed in future positions in sales, marketing, communications, admissions/recruitment, public relations or client relations.

The graduate assistant will:

  • Work closely with Marketing Communications staff on the development of marketing strategies and tactics, including email campaigns, text messaging campaigns, social media posts and live events on a variety of platforms to reach prospective students and families
  • Write and edit emails, press releases, media alerts, articles, social media content and other marketing copy in alignment with editorial style and brand guidelines
  • Assist in the scheduling, capture and editing of photo and video content
  • Gain hands-on experience in using CRM systems, content management systems, project management systems and other marketing technologies
  • Develop relationships with campus stakeholders and vendors
  • Conduct student interviews, focus groups and other research to ensure marketing messaging aligns with audience preferences, needs and best practices

Other administrative and office-related tasks may be assigned.

This position requires 15 hours per week of service.

The successful candidate must possess strong communication skills, strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail, the ability to effectively multi-task and strong organization and time management skills.
