The admissions and student affairs team is seeking P1 Peer Mentors for the 2026-2027 academic year. The P1 Peer Mentor will provide guidance, support and engagement opportunities to a team of P1 student pharmacists. Additionally, there will be one P1 Peer Mentor for all students new to Wilkes University (those that applied as a professional applicant).
Requirements:
1. P2 class standing for academic year 2026-2027.
2. Good academic and non-academic standing.
3. Attendance at P1 Orientation on Sunday, August 30th
4. Attendance at the White Coat Ceremony on Saturday, September 12th.
If you are interested in serving as a P1 Peer Mentor, please respond to the below questions in narrative form and submit one document with your responses to Rob Knight (robert.knight@wilkese.edu) by July 28th.
1. Why are you interested in serving as a P1 Peer Mentor?
2. What challenges do you anticipate P1 student pharmacists will face and how will you assist them in navigating said challenges?
3. What are examples of engagement opportunities that could assist in building a strong team dynamic, affinity to Wilkes University and the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy?
