PPA Upcoming Opportunities

Dear Faculty and Academic Leaders,

As you prepare for the upcoming academic year, the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA) invites you to share several exciting opportunities with students, residents, fellows and colleagues.

PPA is committed to supporting the next generation of pharmacy professionals through scholarships, grants, leadership development, networking, research opportunities and educational programming. We encourage you to share the following opportunities through your faculty meetings, newsletters, student organizations, classroom announcements, social media and campus communications.

The PPA Educational Foundation offers scholarships that recognize outstanding student pharmacists while helping offset the cost of pharmacy education. Eligible PPA student members attending Pennsylvania schools of pharmacy may apply through one application for multiple scholarship opportunities. Deadline: Sept. 9, 2026

💡 PPA Educational Foundation Mini-Grants

🏥 PPA Special Interest Group (SIG) Student Grant to NCPA Conference

Students interested in independent community pharmacy are encouraged to apply for the PPA SIG Student Grant. Each year, selected PPA student members receive funding to attend the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Annual Convention (Oct. 3-6, 2026 in Kansas City, Mo.), providing valuable networking, leadership, and professional development experiences. Deadline: Aug. 16, 2026

🤝 Regional Meetings

PPA’s Eastern (Oct. 3 @ SJU/PCP) and Western (Oct 24 @ Duquesne SOP) Regional Meetings provide affordable opportunities for students and faculty to connect with pharmacy leaders and stay informed on issues impacting the profession. These meetings are also an excellent way to engage with colleagues close to home while expanding professional networks in your local area.

📊 Poster Presentations at 2027 Annual Conference

Students, residents, fellows and new practitioners are encouraged to present research, quality improvement projects, and innovative practice initiatives during the Poster Session at the 2027 PPA Annual Conference. Poster presentations provide valuable experience, professional recognition, and the opportunity to share ideas with pharmacy leaders from across the Commonwealth. Abstract Deadline: Nov. 16, 2026 (Final Poster Deadline: Jan. 13, 2027)

🎉 2027 PPA Annual Conference | February 5–7, 2027 | Hilton Harrisburg
