Who is eligible?
Any second semester Sophomore and above at the time of participation, with a cumulative GPA of 2.5, and approval from a Wilkes University representative is eligible to apply for this opportunity.
What would you be doing?
This is a semester full of internship opportunities, 15+ site visits around D.C., meetings with key decision-makers in Washington, and immersive seminars alongside the students’ regular course load at American University.
Where would you be living?
The selected students would live in downtown Washington D.C. in a building with premium amenities, a 24/7 concierge, close to shopping and restaurants!
How do I apply?
Interested students must follow this link to submit their application (biographic data and a 250 word essay explaining why you are a good fit for the program), a letter of approval from a Wilkes University representative, and submit a resume and transcript. The deadline for the Spring 2027 semester is November 15th, and the deadline for Summer 2027 is March 31!
Applying early is better!
Students who apply early are given more access to Competitive Internships, Scholarship opportunities, and a higher chance of receiving their preferred housing options.
