Dear Skeptical Student,
I see you staring at that NSLS invitation thinking, “This has to be a scam… or at the very least another email I can ignore.”
As someone who joined NSLS in 2020, I can confidently say it has been worth it. I’ve participated in leadership conferences, expanded my professional network, and had the chance to contribute to project planning committees. Along the way, I’ve connected with people and opportunities I wouldn’t have encountered otherwise.
No, joining won’t magically make you a leadership guru overnight. But it might connect you with experiences that help you become one.
Sincerely,
Erica Roszko
