{"id":17650,"date":"2024-07-24T08:43:50","date_gmt":"2024-07-24T12:43:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.wilkes.edu\/?p=17650"},"modified":"2024-07-24T08:43:51","modified_gmt":"2024-07-24T12:43:51","slug":"nominate-a-colleague-for-the-presidents-awards-for-excellence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.wilkes.edu\/index.php\/2024\/07\/24\/nominate-a-colleague-for-the-presidents-awards-for-excellence\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominate a Colleague for the President&#8217;s Awards for Excellence!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif\">It&#8217;s time to nominate colleagues for the annual President&#8217;s Awards for Excellence, which recognize outstanding achievements of University faculty and staff who have gone above and beyond to serve Wilkes.\u00a0 I encourage you to reflect upon the last academic year and consider recognizing a colleague, or colleagues, who exemplify the core values of Wilkes University.<\/p>\n<p>You may nominate full or part-time faculty and staff members in each of following categories:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif\"><b>Exceptional Mentorship<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 This award recognizes a member of the community who has exemplified mentorship. Mentorship may include academic advising, mentoring, coaching, and all other manner of support for students.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif\"><b>Outstanding Scholarship<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 This award recognizes a member of the community who has contributed significantly to their field. Scholarship may include traditional research, scholarship, and contributions to fields and professions outside of academic areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif\"><b>Exceptional Contributions to Diversity<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 This award recognizes a member of the community who has contributed significantly to advancing the inclusivity of the Wilkes community. Diversity is defined broadly and there can be myriad ways in which a member of the community exemplifies this core value.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif\"><b>Outstanding Innovation<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 This award recognizes a member of the community who has demonstrated creative problem-solving or seized an opportunity that has resulted in enriched experiences for students, faculty, and staff, as well as positive improvements for the future of Wilkes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif\"><b>Community Building<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 This award recognizes a member of the community who has made a lasting impact on the campus through team-building, collaboration and\/or role-modeling.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif\">Please submit nominations using this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSd_FVJB75ZFEOUzuxhMYJWtMYwRNusOZFr_4aVDQRMBM_PEXg\/viewform?usp=sf_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSd_FVJB75ZFEOUzuxhMYJWtMYwRNusOZFr_4aVDQRMBM_PEXg\/viewform?usp%3Dsf_link&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1721766469325000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1RuofR6un85VnjxRj-YEKB\">online form<\/a>.
