Wilkes-Barre City Mayor George C. Brown today announced the launch of Wilkes-Barre City Office of Economic and Community Development\u2019s 2025 Community Survey.<\/p>\n
The City of Wilkes-Barre’s Office of Economic & Community Development is preparing their 2025-2029 Five-Year Consolidated Plan as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Included in the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan is the 2025 Annual Action Plan.<\/p>\n
These plans help to address the most pressing housing and community development needs in Wilkes-Barre and strategies to address those priority needs, as identified by the community.<\/p>\n
Citizen participation is a key component of the 2025-2029 Five-Year Consolidated Plan and the 2025 Annual Action Plan.\u00a0 A brief survey has been created which will allow the voices of our community to be heard.<\/p>\n
Mayor Brown invites everyone who lives, works, or visits Wilkes-Barre for higher education, entertainment or recreational purposes, to take a few minutes to complete the online community survey linked below. Community participation is greatly appreciated and sharing the survey with friends and family is encouraged.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe survey will provide an avenue in which residents and visitors can have their voices heard and help identify the city\u2019s current and future community development needs\u201d said Mayor Brown.<\/p>\n
