We invite the campus community to attend Wilkes University\u2019s Annual Health Fair on Thursday, March 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Jean and Paul Adams Commons on the second floor of the Henry Student Center. There is no fee to attend.<\/p>\n
If you or someone you know has a health care-related business and are interested in reserving a table at the fair, there is zero cost.<\/strong> To reserve a table, please contact Juli Killian (health services coordinator) at 570-408-7873 or juli.killian@wilkes.edu<\/a> by March 18.<\/u><\/p>\n The fair is a great way to spread awareness on important health care topics, promote wellness and learn more about each vendor and their services in the community.<\/p>\n We will have a large variety of health care vendors such as the Wilkes-Barre Department of Health, Experience Fitness, Interstate Blood and Plasma, Caring Communities, National Alliance on Mental Illness and many more.<\/p>\n Additionally, this year\u2019s health fair will provide a unique opportunity. One of our vendors, Prevention Health, is offering screenings for Carotid Artery\/Stroke and Thyroid.\u00a0If you are interested in these screenings, you must schedule in advance. The screenings are $40 each, and cash is the only accepted payment. A receipt will be provided for you to submit to your health savings account for possible reimbursement.
