The Wilkes English Department invites you to an academic panel and ball in honor of Jane Austen’s 250th birthday! The event will feature a keynote address by Austen Scholar Dr. Juliette Wells, remarks by English Professor Dr. Helen H. Davis, History Associate Professor Dr. Amy Sopcak-Joseph, and Dance Director Stefan Zubal.<\/p>\n
Following the academic panel, Director Zubal will lead a dance demonstration and teach attendees a Regency-era dance! We will also have a reception with tea, cake, and other refreshments. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Come celebrate Women’s History Month with us as we celebrate the legacy of one of literature’s most influential authors.<\/p>\n
