{"id":24825,"date":"2025-07-01T08:52:26","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T12:52:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.wilkes.edu\/?p=24825"},"modified":"2025-07-01T08:52:28","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T12:52:28","slug":"operation-christmas-child-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.wilkes.edu\/index.php\/2025\/07\/01\/operation-christmas-child-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Operation Christmas Child"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Samaritan\u2019s Purse sends gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to children in need around the world.\u00a0 \u00a0Please consider taking and filling a shoe box today. \u00a0It is easy to do!\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Please stop by the front office of Financial Services, 2nd Floor of Capin Hall.\u00a0 Boxes will be available starting Monday June 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0and will need to be returned to us by July 25<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0to ensure delivery.\u00a0 Feel free to visit Samaritan\u2019s Purse for more information should you need it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Items to fill boxes may seem little to us, but to these kids it means the world to them and to see their smiles is an amazing feeling that comes from LOVE\u2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Item Suggestions:<\/strong>\u00a0Select a medium to large \u201cwow\u201d item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, school supplies, and personal care items.
