Parking meters in the area will be bagged, indicating NO PARKING, beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday. Vehicles will not be ticketed on Friday afternoon. Ticketing will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday and towing will begin at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Closures include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>South Main Street from Northampton Street to Public Square.<\/li>\n<li>North Main Street from Union Street to Public Square.<\/li>\n<li>East Market Street from South Washington Street to Public Square.<\/li>\n<li>West Market Street from South Franklin Street to Public Square.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0The city said the closures were \u201cfor the safety of attendees of a privately sponsored community event.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, Low Cut Connie frontman Adam Weiner will play a free, solo concert on Public Square beginning at 6 pm., according to In This Together NEPA.<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wilkes-Barre has announced road closures for Saturday around Public Square.
