Wilkes-Barre, PA March 9, 2026: Mayor George C. Brown announces road closures and
parking restrictions for Wilkes-Barre City’s 46 th St. Patrick's Day Parade, which will begin at 2:00
PM on Sunday, March 15 th at the intersection of South and South Main Streets.<\/p>\n
ROAD CLOSURES & PARKING RESTRICTIONS
Road closures will begin at 8:00 AM and continue until approximately 4:00 PM, for the following
streets:
\u00a0South Main St. from Dana St. through Public Square
\u00a0North Main St. from Public Square to Union St.
\u00a0Academy St. from South Franklin St. to South Main St.
\u00a0Hazle St. from South Main to South Pennsylvania Ave.
\u00a0West River St. from West South St. to West Ross St.
\u00a0Ross St. from South River St. to South Washington St.
\u00a0South St. from South River St. to South Washington St.
\u00a0South Franklin St. from South St. to West Market St.
\u00a0Northampton St. from S. Franklin St. to South Washington St.
\u00a0E. Market St. from S. Washington St. to Public Square
\u00a0W. Market St. from S. Franklin St. to Public Square
No Parking Along Parade Route
Meters will be bagged and there will be “No Parking” notices posted along the parade route,
encompassing the area between Dana Street to the South, Union Street to the North, Franklin
Street to the West, and Washington Street to the East, beginning Saturday, March 14 th at 8:00
AM. Ticketing to commence at 8:00 AM on Sunday, March 15 th and towing to commence at
9:00 AM. To avoid towing and fines, parade spectators and participants are advised to adhere to
