Wilkes University is pleased to announce an opening for a Residence Hall Director in the Office of Residence Life. This full-time, live-in position supports the residential campus community by fostering student engagement, overseeing residential operations, and supporting the academic and personal success of students living in University housing.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising Resident Assistants, supporting approximately 300\u2013400 residential students, overseeing residential education programming, assisting with facilities management, responding to student concerns and referrals, participating in the Residence Life on-call rotation, and supporting ongoing departmental initiatives. Additional responsibilities include coordinating Resident Assistant training and in-services, assisting with break housing coordination, monitoring residence life communications, supporting orientation initiatives, serving as a hearing officer for student conduct matters, and assisting with Student Government and other residential operations. Candidates should possess strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a student-centered environment.<\/p>\n
