Getting oriented to new technology and systems can be quite stressful, so let us help you get started.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We have five upcoming sessions, depending on your role and needs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Brightspace Instructor Essentials: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This beginner-level session will be for those using Brightspace to develop courses, teach\/facilitate an online course, or support instructors who use Brightspace. Also great if you need a refresher.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>August 17 from 4 &#8211; 6 PM<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> via Zoom. Meeting link will be shared with registrants the day prior to the event.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>New Faculty Bootcamps: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These bootcamps will show you how to get started with a blank shell in D2L, and populate your course using all the basic tools. The full version will include how to supplement your course with video from Panopto. Have your electronic course materials on a flash drive or have them uploaded to a cloud storage site and you can work on your courses with guidance and support from our team members during the session.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Mini version &#8211; Thursday, August 20 from 6:30 &#8211; 8 PM<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Karambelas room 137<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Full Version &#8211;\u00a0 Friday, August 21 from 9 AM &#8211; 12 PM<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Karambelas room 137<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>New Adjunct Orientations: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We will provide an overview of university systems, tools, and support structures you will need in order to navigate your teaching experience here at Wilkes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>New On-Campus Adjunct Orientation: August 18 at 6 PM<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in Karambelas room 137<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>New Online Adjunct Orientation: August 24 at 6 PM<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> via MS Teams.
