The Wilkes University Civic Band and Jazz Ensemble are looking for instrumentalists to join for the Fall 2023 semester. If you play woodwinds, brass, or percussion, you are invited to join our ensembles. Both ensembles are open to all members of the university community.
Wilkes University Civic Band
Large Concert Band – comprised of students, faculty, staff, and community members
- Rehearsals are Wednesdays 6:45pm-9:15pm in Room 41 of the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts
- The Fall 2023 concert is scheduled for the evening of December 6th, 2023
- Our first rehearsal will be on Wednesday September 6th.
- In-person auditions are Wednesday August 30th. Online auditions also available. See instructions.

Wilkes University Jazz Ensemble
Big Band Jazz Ensemble open to all members of the campus community.
- Rehearsals are Thursdays 7:00pm-9:30pm in Room 41 of the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts
- The Fall 2023 concert is scheduled for the evening of December 7th, 2023.
- Our first rehearsal will be on Thursday September 7th.
