In honor of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, Wilkes University is collaborating with Mayor George C. Brown, the City of Wilkes-Barre and other local colleges, universities and health care organizations for an educational initiative inspired by Brown’s daughter, Aimee Kearney.
Weckesser Hall will light up blue to spread awareness about colorectal cancer. Here’s how Colonels can help do their part:
- Wear blue on Wednesday, March 20, to show your support.
- Check out Aimee’s Story at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20. The event is free and open to the public. Register online to submit a question to the panel.
- Full-time employees who attend the event will have satisfied their wellness activity for the 2025 benefit plan year. By doing so, they will also be considered eligible for any wellness incentives offered by the University at that time.
